The affluent suburb of Nedlands, which stretches from the banks of the Swan River to the edge of the Indian Ocean, is gearing up to welcome it's newest residential development.

In a joint venture between Aria Land and Blueways Group, the pair will bring a balance of modern functionality coupled with sustainability, with just 32 apartments set for the boutique project.

Set across six levels, Jardin has been designed by Hassell and will offer spacious one, two and three-bedroom apartments, donned with a mix of materials, coupled with abundant greenery and residential amenity.

The architects at Hassell say Jardin captures the essence of its enviable Nedlands location.

"The striking, contemporary form is expressed through a carefully curated selection of materials and extensive landscaping that set the backdrop to these beautifully designed, elegant apartments.”

They've collaborated with Source Energy for Jardin, who were the first company in Western Australia to combine grid energy with the installation of solar panels and batteries into an integrated energy network.

“Jardin’s collaboration with Source Energy who are powered by major energy company ATCO, proved its passion for innovating processes that result in benefits flowing directly through to homeowners, the community and the planet," Source Energy say.

Jardin harnesses renewable, green energy by supplementing traditional grid electricity with solar and battery systems. This results in strata bill savings to owners while producing a more sustainable energy solution.

The best practice energy-efficient design approach at Jardin creates dual aspect layouts to provide cross ventilation to facilitate natural cooling and maximise city and river views.

The project also features full-height energy-efficient glazing to maximise natural light, promote thermal comfort, while also utilising laminated glass to mitigate external noise.

The residents’ communal garden and oversized balcony planter boxes have been designed with considered landscaping and retic controlled waterwise plantings to protect against UV rays from the afternoon sun.

Residents will be welcomed into Jardin through a spacious lobby, with plentiful seating areas, with further residential amenity located on level two, including a communal lounge and a dining and kitchen area.

There's also a fully-equipped gym with premium equipment from Italian health giants Technogym who have been the offical supplier to seven Olympic Games.

Not only does Jardin benefit from it's proximity to the Swan River, Kings Park is also nearby, along with Nedlands golf, tennis and yacht clubs.

The development also encourages sustainable transport with secure bike parking which easily allows residents to take advantage of the close by riverside cycleways and public transport, while also including electric recharging stations.
