Its never been more important to create a USP when designing an apartment development.

Blueways Group decided their main USP for Rivean would be the extensive amenity inside and out of the Nedlands apartment development.

A large section of Rivean has been devoted to outdoor communal space, including a barbecue area and a separate kitchen and dining area. Framed by established trees and featuring a range of native plants and paved areas, the outdoor spaces provide a breath of fresh air with a sense of privacy.

The communal kitchen and dining facilities at Rivean are the ideal place to hold events or get to know other residents, while additional BBQ facilities and alfresco seating also provide the perfect setting to enjoy the balmy summer nights.

A healthy, active lifestyle starts at home at Rivean. In the ground floor gym, you’ll find all the latest equipment and workout space you need, together with bathroom facilities for added convenience between sessions. Plus, if you choose to get around by bike, the downstairs storage area offers secure parking for peace of mind, with 16 bike racks available.

As its name suggests, Rivean has a close affinity with nature, with its exterior design continuing this connection through a carefully selected blend of raw and natural materials.

The feature cedar wood columns and adjustable louvres provide an arresting contrast against the limestone walls and concrete planters, while the cool white finish creates a crisp and clean finishing touch.

Architecture firm Giorgi Architects said on the design that Rivean draws on local historical materials and innovative design techniques to spark a revitalisation of the surrounding community.

"The design is responsive to the environment, providing excellent access to natural light, fresh air and generous outdoor space whilst also offering a range of spaces and activities that will promote a sense of community."

With its feature ceiling and mixture of raw materials, the lobby makes a winning first impression.

Surrounded by considered landscaping and opening up into a large communal area, it offers a spacious and eye-catching entry statement that sets the tone of Rivean from the very start.
