Villa Moderna lists with $6 million plus hopes
Villa Moderna, two separate houses set across five levels, in Darlinghurst has hit the market again, this time with $6 million plus hopes through Langulin agent Louisa Jackson.
It would set a new record terrace price for the suburb when sold by the New Zealand born music industry entrepenuer Grant Thomas, whose company once managed Crowded House, The Rockmelons and Bardot, who bought it in 1999 for $855,000.
After a three year renovation, it is six bedrooms, five bathrooms, four car spaces with a total space of 556 sqm behind its 19th-Century Victorian terrace facade.
The striking Dale Jones Evans-designed minimalist terrace is mostly concrete, sandstone and glass finishes.
The marketing says the entirely new home has never been occupied, so is Federal Investment Review Board (FIRB) approved to a foreign buyer.
