Despite its prime location on the sought-after Chapel Street, residents of the completed 661 Chapel Street in South Yarra will feel they don't have to leave the development to exercise or socialise.

661 Chapel Street is the first Australian project of the Malaysian-based developer Gamuda Land, who made it a focus to offer their residents the best in onsite facilities.

Local architecture firm Bird de le Coeur designed the 30 level building of just 116 apartments.

The hotel-feel of 661 Chapel starts from the private porte-cochere entry, where the concierge is located. Behind the concierge is a meet and greet-style break out room with seating and dining facilities.

Also the ground level is a grand library and music corner, as well as private dining rooms and board rooms.

There's further dining rooms on level six, where the majority of the hotel-style facilities are located.

The most impressive is the 25 metre indoor/outdoor lap pool, which is accompanied by a sun deck, sauna and a steam room.

Level six also features a mini theatre room, lounge, gym and a wine cellar.

Entry level is from $546,000 for a one bed apartment, $798,000 for two bedrooms and $1,841,000 for the three bedroom apartments.
