The ongoing surge in home financing and purchasing as well as the rebound in home prices is being driven by a combination of record low mortgage rates, home buyer incentives and economic recovery.

Investors have clearly now joined the stampede of buyers rushing housing markets, but the overall home loan market share of investors remains at record low levels.

Despite the fact that investor's saw an uptick in market share over February and March.

Meaning that this trend has been lead by the enormous surge in first home buyer lending which soared to record highs due primarily to incentives like the HomeBuilder Grant and other FHB stimuli like stamp duty discounts.
