Located in Melbourne’s Preston, Verre is the latest offering from Wolf&Lamb. Urban takes a look at eight reasons why you should secure a residence in the luxury complex today.

1. The building is steeped in history

Located at 296 Plenty Road, Verre was originally the location of a family-owned and operated glassworks, Peerless Glass. Paying homage to its past, the development is named after the French word for glass.

Peerless Glass was “one of the first local manufacturers to offer glass products which utilised sandblasting and blending techniques”, the project marketing reads.

2. Delivered under the guidance of the original family

The ownership of the building remained with the original family, spanning multiple generations. Today, Verre offers a new chapter for future generations, delivering 57 residences under the guidance of the original family’s grandson.

3. Own a bespoke Mark Douglass hand-blown glass light pendant

Maintaining the connection to high-quality glassworks, each apartment sale at Verre will include a bespoke hand-blown glass creation, produced by Melbourne-based glass designer, Mark Douglass.

The ‘Melbourne Glassworks’ owner, who has been creating glasswork since 1989, will construct a glass light pendant that will sit as the statement piece of every Verre residence.

4. Designed by Chamberlain Architects

With architecture by Chamberlain Architects, the development provides contemporary style and sleek apartment design.

Verre homes are steeped in high-quality fittings, including large floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, balconies and spacious bedrooms with built-in wardrobes.

Chamberlain’s past projects include Northcote’s Merri Green and Parkdale’s Topaz.

5. Ideal inner-north location

Situated in the heart of Preston, Verre is designed with a focus on owner-occupiers and puts residents within minutes from retail, transport and lifestyle activities.

Known for its abundance of restaurants and bars, and in close proximity to the Melbourne CBD, Preston is northside Melbourne at its finest.

Nearby lifestyle offerings include Merri Creek trail and St. Georges Road bike trail.

6. The rooftop terraces

The architecturally-designed residences are an entertainers’ delight. Large balconies connect the living room to the outdoors and a rooftop terrace offers a space to host friends or relax against the Melbourne city skyline.

7. Developed by Wolf&Lamb

Set for completion in early 2022, Verre is the latest project delivered by development firm Wolf&Lamb.

Expressing contemporary living through innovative design, generous layouts and utility, Wolf&Lamb aims to create enduring designs, each embued with their own identity and sense of place.

8. HomeBuilder-qualifying

Certain residences at Verre qualify for the Victorian Government’s various off-the-plan incentives, including the HomeBuilder grant, first home owners grant and the first home loan deposit scheme.

There has never been a better time to buy a home.

Apartments in Verre begin at $385,000 for a one-bedroom apartment, while three-bedroom residences are priced from $815,000.
