Dunblane, the Italianate home on a 4,726-square-metre holding with guest house at Sunbury, has been listed for October 11 auction with $3 million-plus hopes in one line through Lindsay Hill and Annette Travers at Bennison Mackinnon.

Dating back to its 1890s construction for local hotelier Peter Eadie, the country manor has been restored and renovated  to highlight its refined period rooms.

There have been just the three owners, it most recently selling to the Mason family in 1999 by Essendon real estate tycoon Graham Goodson.

The seven-bedroom, five-bathroom house has light-filled contemporary spaces along with a designer kitchen.

Its grounds have a heated pool, spa and a mod-grass flood-lit tennis court with pavilion – all within botanic gardens.

There's also a two-bedroom guest house which sits on its own title, and will be offered the first right to secure the 700 sq m offering.

"Dunblane is further distinguished by its status as the only Sunbury home of such significance to have served continuously as a family residence," said Lindsay Hill, the Mount Macedon agent.
