DealCorp's latest development, well on it's way to completion in the coming months MCKN, is an homage to the suburb in which it resides, McKinnon.

Known as a expansive family suburb, MCKN offers all sorts of amenities needed for every family with spacious open plan living areas that extend to outdoor balconies and terraces.

It is the combined effort of DealCorp, local builder Hamilton Marino and architectural firm Ritz & Ghougassian who led the design on the facade and interiors.

Urban narrowed it down to just six things we love about MCKN:

1. Developed by the award winning DealCorp

Dealcorp are based in Melbourne and began in 1984, completing over 50 projects in that time. They are specialists in private property development and investment within the retail, residential and commercial sectors.

Their portfolio includes award-winning masterplan communities in Bundoora and top-end penthouse towers in South Yarra. Some of their most recent projects include Eclipse Townhouses at Polaris 3083, Plenty Road, Bundoora, a collection of 19 dual-level townhouses and The Residences at Glenarm Square in Glen Iris.

Projects in the works include Nova, Polaris in Bundoora and 4248, located in South Yarra.

2. Designed by the up and coming Ritz & Ghougassian

Ritz & Ghougassian established their architecture and interior design practice in 2015.

Located in Melbourne, they described their focus as, "primarily on the user experience and ones relationship to the built environment through an interiorised lens. Working across both public and private sectors a collaborative process ensures their work is considered and resolved."

Once completed the boutique development will stand five levels tall and home to 41 spacious apartments.

Other projects they have worked on include Musk Creek in Flinders, Bentwood in Fitzroy, Penta in Elsternwick and Higbury Grove in Prahran.

3. Constructed by leading local builder Hamilton Marino

Established in 1975, Hamilton Marino Builders is an experienced and dynamic multi-level apartment and commercial construction company.

In their statement they said, "Our ‘value-added’ operational model and reputation built on providing expertise, quality and certainty, has made us an innovative industry leader. With a multitude of projects in feasibility, planning, construction and post-contract phase at any point in time, we have a wealth of current market knowledge available."

They have established offices in Sydney and Melbourne and have completed projects in other states and countries including Queensland, South Australia and New Zealand.

Hamilton Marino have also worked on 4248 with DealCorp which was completed late last year.

4. Stroll the streets and parklands

Located a stroll from the nearby Bayside beaches, MCKN is surrounded by 14 hectares of open parkland, yet set primarily in the heart of McKinnon from its Jasper Road location.

Thoroughly enjoy the nearby parks and walking reserves like Joyce Park, McKinnon Reserve and Wattle Grove. Almost every park is equipped with playground equipment or even a sporting field like the nearby St Pauls Junior Football Club.

MCKN is in the encatchment for McKinnon Secondary College, which is only a five-minute walk away. Less than a kilometre away are St Kevin's School, Glen Orme Avenue, Mckinnon Primary School and Ormond Primary School.

The nearest train station is just 500 metres from MCKN, putting Chadstone and Southland Shopping Centres just minutes away.

5. Discover local delights

Partake in the ground floor retail facilities set to host a cafe upon completion of MCKN.

Indulge in local dining options like the Allora Cucina, Mr Burch, McKinnon Village Bakery, Cafe @ 150 and more all on McKinnon Road, the first intersection off 236 Jasper Road, the home of MCKN.

Residents can enjoy their night out at local bars/pubs like the Roo Baa, Mckinnon Hotel, Sonder Bar, OnTop Bar and Boundary Hotel, all less than a 10 minute drive away.

6. The boutique design details

MCKN apartments feature stone benchtops, 2pac joinery, platinum-toned fixtures and Smeg appliances fitted in the kitchen, as well as spacious open plan living areas that extend to outdoor balconies and terraces.

Bathrooms feature large format stone tiles, a minimalist walk-in shower, floating vanity and concealed cistern toilet.

Residents will enjoy storage space and a practical floorplan, which offers flexibility to suit all lifestyles due to it's open plan nature.

The development offers all sorts of amenities needed for every family with spacious open plan living areas that extend to outdoor balconies and terraces.
