Simone Callahan, the former wife of Shane Warne, has sold her Mornington Peninsula home, which was on the market earlier this year with $1.65 million-plus hopes.

A $1.5 million sale was secured for the four-bedroom Arthurs Seat home with a tennis court and swimming pool, and guest quarters.

It was bought by Barbara Fayman, wife of Marvin Fayman, the abattoir company boss who successfully established the Half-Case Warehouse Supermarket chain in Victoria and New South Wales in the 1970s.

Callahan had first put it on the market in March 2010 with a $2 million price tag.

Callahan bought the house in 2008 for $1,225,000 and gave it an upmarket makeover.

The 4,700-square-metre property had been listed through Harcourts Rosebud agent Grant McConnell, who put Clahane to March 2012 auction.
