Scott Pendlebury secures Newport cottage offer
Persistence appears to have paid off for Collingwood’s Scott Pendlebury on having his third shot at selling his Newport cottage.
His redundant two-bedroom Douglas Parade property came with revised price expectations.
It was initially listed in late 2011 with $780,000 to $840,000 expectations, which were adjusted to $750,000 to $810,000 last year.
It then dropped to $680,000 to $740,000 hopes through Leanne Howlett at Greg Hocking Elly Partners, who has adjusted them to $640,000 to $690,000 to get the house "under offer."Pendlebury paid $567,000 in late 2007 for the house on 290 square metres.
"For those seeking low-maintenance living in popular Newport and Williamstown fringe location, this stylish two-bedroom home is sure to impress," says the marketing.
Its entrance hall comes with timber boards through to its tiled renovated open plan kitchen and living zone with designer breakfast bar.
"Close to schools, transport, Williamstown shopping, Newport Park, and The Strand bayside walk and bike path, this home is a perfect first home or savvy investment," Howlett says.
