Melbourne property developer Salter Brothers has confirmed that, following an extensive selection process, an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) Agreement has been signed with Camillo for its new Ivanhoe apartment development, Candela Ivanhoe.

This means that over the coming months, Salter Brothers and Camillo will work together on detailed designs, with the intention to proceed towards signing a build contract.

Salter Brothers Project Director, Dumindha Ranasinghe, said he is very pleased to be progressing the Candela Ivanhoe development towards its construction phase with Camillo, a highly reputable and experienced company with a specialist focus on building high quality boutique developments.

Camillo General Manager, Daniel Zammit, also commented on how pleased his company is to be involved with Salter BrothersCandela Ivanhoe development and to be assisting with activities to prepare for the commencement of construction.

“Ivanhoe is a highly sought after area of Melbourne and to be involved with a landmark project of architectural excellence such as Candela, and with a professional partner in Salter Brothers, is a very pleasing result,” Zammit said.

With a striking glass facade, Candela will deliver 62 apartments to Ivanhoe, with a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments, penthouses and loft-style residences.

Architect John Demos and interior designer Kathy Demos collaborated on the design of the residences, which will sit across six light-filled levels, suiting singles, couples and families.

Beyond Candela’s smart and flexible floor plans, a focus has also been placed on creating sustainable and energy efficient homes, with the building set to achieve a 7-star energy rating.

All apartments are designed to enhance daylight access in both living areas and bedrooms in a bid to reduce reliance on electric lighting, in addition to a 25kW Solar PV system that will be installed on the roof to help power the communal areas and reduce Owner’s Corporation contributions.

Both a communal rooftop terrace and a communal ground floor space will be constructed in Candela Ivanhoe, with the areas featuring barbecue facilities, seating areas and extensive landscaping.

Construction is tipped to wrap by late 2024, with prices starting from $555,000 for a one-bedroom apartment. Two-bedders are priced from $755,000, while three-bedroom floorplans start from $1.1 million. The grander four-bedroom configurations begin at $1.76 million.
