Jacks Ridge, the Merricks North house designed by Robert Boyle, has been sold by the Jack family.

The 18-hectare Junction Road property has elegant parklands, along with extensive beds of roses and perennials, Manchurian pear avenue, a box-bordered English lavender parterre and croquet lawn and golf green.

The stone-and-timber four-bedroom house with wrap-around veranda overlooks vineyards and Port Phillip Bay in the distance.

There are vineyards of chardonnay on one side of the homestead and pinot noir on the other. The vines were planted around 1996. The Mornington Peninsula property comes with guest accomodation.

Fletchers Canterbury agent Rob Fletcher had $6 million hopes, with its sale price not revealed.
