Boutique townhouse developer Sloane Property Group has seen a great response to their architecturally-striking townhouse development in Mentone on Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay.

They've now just 50 per cent remaining of the 10 townhouses, with demand coming both locally and from out of town.

There was one expat purchaser, a successful business person, who secured one of the townhomes, having previously secured an off the plan townhouse designed by Megowan Architectural a few years ago.

Jellis Craig Projects Director Stephen Bowtell, who is selling Kindred Mentone, said the buyer knew the quality of the designs Chris Megowan puts together, while the track record of Sloane added further confidence.

Each townhouse at Kindred has three bedrooms, while a select few feature rooftop decks which take in views over the suburb.

They all have oversized double lock up garages, ideal for a home gym or to store bikes and paddle boards

Adam Sloane, Sloane Director, said it's been a great response from the market.

"We've had over 600 enquiries at the project, in an area not particularly well known for off the plan development," Sloane says.

"With a 100 per cent track record of delivering townhouse, and the fact it's getting harder and harder to make projects stack up now, it gives our buyers confidence to move ahead with a purchase."

The location of Kindred has been one of the key selling points.

Located on Brindisi Street directly opposite a reserve with an oval, playground, and a garden, Kindred is just a few streets away from Mentone Beach, Mentone Racecourse Reserve, and Mentone's local retail strip, Mentone Parade.

The coastal charm of Mentone: Where lifestyle meets location

The sales success has triggered Sloane to appoint local builder Level 10 who specializes in townhouse developments. They will kick off construction within the next few weeks, with a completion date expected toward the end of 2025.

Sloane has created a niche of developing architecturally-driven townhouses across Melbourne. Sloane and Megowan have worked on a number of projects together over the last decade with a 100 per cent delivery rate.
