Gramercy Terraces may be centrally located in the eastern pocket of Richmond, but Developer Lendlease have drawn its inspiration from New York to create the residential development.

Not just a name, but a word synonymous with music greats and a grand Manhattan hotel with an inspiring rooftop terrace vibe, Gramercy is also the name of an independent record label, as well as New York’s Gramercy Park Hotel, which has played host to music legends from Bob Dylan to Bob Marley and features a notable rooftop terrace perfect for inspiring alfresco entertaining.

“With the rich on-site musical history of our own Gramercy Terraces, the nod to music legends, alfresco entertaining and grand luxury was the perfect composition,” the group say.

Gramercy Terraces will deliver a collection of just 31 three and four-level, individually titled three and four-bedroom townhouses.

The development presents the final opportunity to own a rare freehold property within the heritage precinct on Bendigo Street, which was home to the former ‘Studio Nine’ as well as once being the site of the Wertheim Piano Factory.

Gramercy Terraces offer a sanctuary within the inner-city, with light filled stairwells that cascade natural light and spacious individual rooftop terraces with city views.

Construction on stage one of the project is progressing well, says Lendlease, with Balmain & Cotinuing to impress with their attention to detail.

The final release of three-bedroom residences are currently selling, spanning from 222 sqm, with each buyer given a complimentary Interior Decoration Service by Coco Republic and a 15 per cent discount across their furniture and homewares range.

Future residents will benefit from amenities on their doorstep, sitting within close proximity to restaurants, cafes and boutiques on Swan Street and easy connection to the rest of the city from Burnley Station.

The precinct will also target a 6-star Green Star Communities rating from the Green Building Council of Australia, representing a world standard in sustainable design.

Gramercy Terraces will be joined in the precinct by Ardency Kennedy Place, Lendlease’s five-star luxury retirement living community, a new onsite café and provedore and the existing Richmond Community Learning Centre.
