In the vibrant neighbourhood of Fitzroy, a new development is set to stand tall, designed to reflect the character of the area.

Jarrah Property are behind 82 Westgarth Street, which will comprise a collection of 18 apartments and just two townhouses, seamlessly combining sustainability and luxury design.

The group recently released the final two residences in the development, with one three-bedroom sub penthouses, along with one three-bedroom penthouse.

The sub penthouse will provide unobstructed northerly aspects, along with off-street parking for two vehicles, while the penthouse will deliver CBD-facing vistas, along with two car spaces.

The creative minds behind this architectural masterpiece are none other than Walter&Walter, led by Andrew and Michelle Walter, who approached the project with an understanding of the relationships between tradition, culture, sustainability, and context.

"It’s about taking your time to design a thoughtful and considered piece of architecture. This project is going beyond the functional and sustainability benefits to create a place people will enjoy inhabiting on both a pragmatic and emotional level," said Walter.

Each of the apartments and townhouses offer the same level of high-quality finishes and attention to detail, combining a blend of form and function, with two distinct colour schemes, dark and light, donning the interiors.

82 Westgarth Street boasts a 7-star NatHERS rating, with 100 per cent cross ventilation achieved across each residences, along with a net-zero carbon rating.

Achieving cross flow ventilation is made possible through an innovative design choice - an open-air internal laneway that acts as the corridor connecting each apartment. This feature not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also serves a practical purpose. On hotter days, it facilitates the cooling of indoor spaces, while at all times, it allows fresh air to circulate efficiently, filling each home with a refreshing ambiance.

Completion on the Fitzroy project is slated for completion in the coming months, with Castran marketing the development.
