Glen Iris in Melbourne's inner east is well known for its leafy streets, charming period homes, and family-friendly atmosphere.

Developer LK Property Group, led by billionaire NBL owner Larry Kestelman, identified a small pocket where they knew future residents of their recently launched townhouse development, Lori, would be able to take advantage of the best Glen Iris has to offer.

In 2021 they snapped up an unusually shaped 1,120 sqm site on Malvern Road, an irregular site which allowed for a creative design of eight townhouses set well back from the street.

Lori, at 1610 Malvern Road, sits opposite a direct laneway through to Gardiners Creek where there's the Gardiners Creek Trail, a 40-minute trail to the city, as well as Nettleton Dog Park and Howard Dawson Reserve.

Just 500 metres down Malvern Road is the popular independent craft brewery Deeds Brewery, as well as the Glen Iris Station, connecting future Lori residents to the city in around 20 minutes.

On the way to the station is Platform Espresso, the popular commuter coffee stop, while just past the station is the hospitality strip on Malvern Road. There's That Greek Tavern, Pimento Thai Cuisine, Beans Republique, bagels and pastries at 3146 Bagels or AM Bakehouse, Italian pizza at Teo's, dinner at Hen's House, and a nightcap at Milton Wine Shop. They all sit within less than 500 metres from Lori.

Glen Iris is a well established, family friendly community, and with that comes excellent schools. The likes of Caulfield Grammer, Sacre Coeur, Auburn High, and Korowa Anglican Girls' School which all feature in the states top 10 per cent best schools list.

There's close physical amenity in the form of the TH King Oval, the aforementioned Gardiners Creek Trail, Gardiner Tennis Court, and Harold Holt Pool, which is just over one kilometre away from Lori.

Lori will be inkeeping with the wider Glen Iris community. The 100-year old trees on the site will be preserved, creating a tree canopy from Lori's master suites located on the upper level

Each Lori townhouse will have three bedrooms across two levels, as well as parking for two cars.

Award-winning architectural practice Megowan has designed Lori.

Every part of the house is smartly designed, with careful thought put into every square metre for usability. The space under the stairs turns into a concealed study nook that opens to the living space.

The Miele-appointed kitchens feature a highly functional and adaptable open cupboard with plenty of storage space. The location of the kitchen allows for entertaining from the kitchen's terrazzo and natural stone benchtops to flow into the dining and living spaces.

Immerse Constructions is currently building Lori, which is slated for completion in Q4 2024.
