Construction kicks off at Ivanhoe's newest lifestyle-led apartment development, Candela Ivanhoe
After years of vacancy and a failed attempt at a previous smaller apartment development, a triangular gateway site at 40 Upper Heidelberg Road in Ivanhoe is finally set for a remarkable transformation.
Melbourne developer Salter Brothers has officially commenced construction on the apartment development Candela Ivanhoe.
Candela Ivanhoe is set to contribute 62 apartments to the Ivanhoe community, offering a mix of one, two, three, and four-bedroom apartments within a six-minute walk to Ivanhoe Station.
Architect John Demos and interior designer Kathy Demos collaborated to create a unique design that spans six light-filled levels, aimed to cater to the diverse needs of singles, couples, and families.
Candela Ivanhoe's mid-rise structure, elevated off the ground, is characterised by intricate cutouts and projections of balconies and windows draped in a distinctive brass veil.
The ground level will be transformed into a publicly accessible piazza, activated by a cafe and commercial spaces.
The apartments will feature spacious living areas and bedrooms, separate laundry rooms, Miele-equipped kitchens with stone benchtops and walk-through pantries.
Candela Ivanhoe also includes communal spaces, such as multiple outdoor seating and dining opportunities amidst landscaping, an atrium, a wine bar, a providore, and a rooftop garden.
Situated at the gateway of Ivanhoe Village, Candela Ivanhoe enjoys a prime location with a walk score of 90/100.
Candela Ivanhoe is slated for completion in late 2025. buying off the plan at Candela offers potential savings of up to $78,000 in stamp duty compared to purchasing an established home.
