Carlton North pips Elsternwick for best auction clearance rate

Melbourne's inner ring's highest clearance rate suburb was Carlton North with 88% from 32 auctions.

It just pipped Elsternwick in the top 10 clearance rates in inner Melbourne with its busier 87% success rate.

Recent sales included a three bedroom terrace at 134 Fenwick Street, Carlton North (pictured above) that sold through Nelson Alexander at $1.22 million.

It last sold at $435,000 in 2002.

Neither suburbs had any auctions last weekend, and this weekend there is just the one in Elsternwick.

It is a new home at 19a Riddell Parade.
