Elenberg Fraser is an expert in multi-residential architecture and interior design, currently delivering around 42% of the apartments nearing completion and under construction in Melbourne; up from 10% in 2013.

Based in Melbourne with regional hubs in Brisbane and Ho Chi Minh City, Elenberg Fraser was established in 1998 by Zahava Elenberg and Callum Fraser, both RMIT University graduates.

Elenberg Fraser have a track record in delivering residential projects that are both design-driven and market-driven, with expertise recognised through industry awards for projects such as Fifty Albert in South Melbourne, Luna in St Kilda and A’Beckett Tower on Melbourne’s A’Beckett Street.

The architecture firm note that their residential projects have demonstrated their potential to improve returns and work within strict floorplan and cost considerations, but also provide truly inhabitable environments that excite and engage owners and tenants.

“We create flexible spaces that can be adapted to a range needs, with practical yet individual approaches to interior design. Generous communal spaces are provided, creating society within the building,” the firm noted.

Urban has picked out its top five projects currently in the market designed by the team at Elenberg Fraser.

Spring Street

Located in the centre of Box Hill, Spring Street is within arm’s reach of culturally rich dining scene, quality educational facilities, hospitals, shopping centres and public transport.

Spring Street’s ground level features a paved boulevard, gardens and fine grain retail and dining offerings. As the levels rise, there is a private garden on the top of the podium where residents can relax and enjoy outdoor living.

Everything has been designed by Elenberg Fraser, from the streamlined, modern low-rise apartments, to the sleek high-rise levels and the custom-designed penthouses.

It features 29-storey architectural marvels, abundant amenities and a scenic garden created in collaboration with leading landscape architects Tract Consultants.

St Boulevard

St Boulevard is the newest three-tower development in St Kilda, located at the intersection of the grand St. Kilda Boulevard and the Melbourne CBD.

The towers, Magnolia, Anaca and Ginko, place residents square at the centre of the busy suburb.

The biophilic buildings have been designed around a central park, home to the trees that stand for the building’s namesake.

Elenberg Fraser took a sophisticated and tactile approach to the interiors, offering residents a choice in colour scheme and palette with a large range of floor plans to choose from.

Piper Townhomes

Piper Townhomes is a boutique collection of 14 modern, low-maintenance townhouses in the bayside suburb of Williamstown.

It is just one part of AVJennings vision for Waterline Place which they described as “a village within a village”. It will be home to around 500 residences across 14 unique developments, weaved among a sea of biophilic, pedestrian-friendly, streets and laneways.

Piper comprises nine three-bedroom homes facing Nelson Place, starting from an extension of the neighbouring Lonsdale and Lysander townhomes, continuing the bluestone and angled roofline theme that mimics traditional local cottages and industrial buildings of the past, to blend in with the established architectural character of the area.

As well as five two-bedroom, two-bathroom terraces fronting Waterline Place, that have already sold out.

Situated within Hobson Bay the area offers cafes, restaurants, supermarket, shops, swimming beaches and renowned boating clubs.

The luxury property developer Beulah recently began construction on one of its newest apartment developments, Provenance Camberwell.

Consisting of just 12 apartments in total, including two penthouses, the boutique block at 890 Toorak Road has been designed by Elenberg Fraser.

Prices start from $1.25 million for the two bedroom apartments, with the four bedroom penthouses priced at $3.995 million.

Beulah have appointed the family-ran and owned lurada Property Group to handle the construction and so far the building has proven popular with local owner-occupiers, Beulah managing director Jiaheng Chan said.

Provenance Camberwell marks Beulah’s seventh project to have commenced construction within recent years.

20 Mary Avenue, Broadbeach

Developer Little Projects Co recently unveiled plans for a boutique residential apartment project located at 20 Mary Avenue, Broadbeach.

Demonstrating their prowess outside of Victoria, 20 Mary Avenue will showcase an exclusive collection of just 29, full floor and double storey apartments designed in partnership with Elenberg Fraser.

Each floor will house a 3-bedroom residence, with an elegant aesthetic, designed for the owner-occupier market.

20 Mary Avenue, Broadbeach will springboard off the back of Little Project’s Gold Coast debut project, Signature Broadbeach, which sold out its 245 apartments located just around the corner from the proposed 20 Mary Avenue, Broadbeach.

According to the developer, panoramic ocean views can be witnessed from podium to penthouse, with never to be built out vistas as a result of the development’s positioning behind Broadbeach State School.
