A near $7 million sale has been secured by Michael Paproth, of The Agency, in the GURNER South Melbourne project.

A 545 sqm penthouse at 74 Eastern Rd sold over the summer break.

It was 2016 when all top floor spaces were sold off-the-plan in the project near Albert Park Lake with its design by Elenberg Fraser.

The then five buyers saw GURNER secure sales totaling $10.75 million as one buyer bought two penthouses, outlaying $3.5 million to amalgamate the holding.

Another of the penthouses went for $3.9 million and the others were priced around the high-$1 million mark.

Developer Tim Gurner’s brief to designer David Hicks was to design penthouses “akin to a $10 million custom private residence.”

One of the buyers were retired empty-nesters Ross and Jenny Venuto who secured the $3.9 million penthouse.

Landscaper Jack Merlo was engaged to work at the nine-level building of 71 apartments.
