Veteran TV presenter Mike Willesee senior sells at Bondi Beach

Veteran TV presenter Mike Willesee senior has secured the pre-auction sale of his Bondi Beach garden apartment.

He had around $2 million hopes for the two bedroom, two bathroom unit that was bought for $1,575,000 in 2011.

In 2014 it had been a rental at $1,450 a week.

The 200 sq m apartment with indoor and outdoor living space features a combination of exposed concrete, stone and timber.

Laing+Simmons agent Danny Doff secured the sale for Willesee, who came to prominence in 1967 as a report for the ABC, was most famous for hosting A Current Affair. 

Willesee has become part of clinical trial as he battles a deadly cancer discovered in his throat last year, being treated with the revolutionary drug Keytrudo, iin combination with more traditional chemotherapy.
