Veteran Swan Heath Grundy lists Maroubra home
Sydney Swans veteran defender Heath Grundy and wife Elise Hill are selling their Maroubra home.
The couple, who had their second child in February, are set to upgrade for more space.
Their newest arrival, Jameson, attended his first Swans game last month, and slept the whole time.
The home offering is completely unrecognisable since the 31 year old defender paid $860,000 in 2011.
Grundy, who made his debut at the Swans in 2006, has transformed the original 1930s brick home.
The now contemporary home with a white-washed exterior has two bedrooms, a marble kitchen and a separate living space with polished floorboards.
The bare rear yard now features a decked wrap around alfresco area with kitchenette, overlooking the small lawn.
Grundy is looking to double his money at its May 26 auction through NG Farah Coogee agents Cameron Airlie and Mark Feerick, who have a $1.6 million price guidance.
Grundy has owned the adjoining home, which has been a $900 a week investment since he paid $1.26 million in 2014.
Grundy and Hill, who wed in 2013 at St Franics Xavier church in Lavender Bay, had their first child, Reg in 2015.
“He was going to get called Reg anyway,” Grundy previously told The Sunday Telegraph.
Grundy didn’t miss a game in 2017 and made 20-plus appearances for the ninth consecutive season.
The 2005 rookie draft selection is just a handful of games short of the 250 milestone.
Fellow South Australian Michael O’Loughlin mentored Grundy in his early years at the Swans.
