The Killarney Vale couple Kara and Kyal Demmrich - contestants on Channel Nine's The Block Albert Park series - have sold their NSW Central Coast home for $735,000.

They bought it in 2008 for $285,000, having married in February 2007.

The opening bid was $650,000 with seven registered buyers at the 24 February auction offeringAgent Chantel Laing-Chadwick at George Brand Real Estate Avoca Beach/Copacabana described it as an "architectural masterpiece".

She emphasised the soaring high ceilings and generous use of open plan living.

"This cleverly designed home is drenched in sunlight from the floor to ceiling windows," said Laing-Chadwick.

It features four bedrooms, plus a study and separate loft area, set on a level 715 square metre block with room for a pool.

Last year the couple appeared in The Block: Fans v Faves as the so-called Super Ks.
