Retired AFL footballer Darren Jolly and his designer wife, Dea, now professional renovators, have listed in Kew East with an October 8 scheduled auction.

It is the home they rebuilt after demolishing their heritage-protected house without permission.

It was bought for $1,395,000 in June last year and they want $2.6 million.

Dea Jolly, now a Fairfax Media columnist, once confessed she had an addiction to renovating.

The house comes with underfloor heating in the bathrooms, 100 percent wool carpets and 100 percent linen curtains, engineered European Oak flooring, bespoke made handles, plantation shutters on the windows, Velux solar-powered and rain sensing opening skylights plus landscaped gardens with irrigation and lighting.
