The much televised terrace at 403 Dorcas Street, South Melbourne was certainly the celebrity weekend auction offering in Melbourne, though selling without much fanfare at $1.73 million.

It featured in The Block, Channel 9 series in 2012 when bought by the Energy Watch boss Daniel Wallis at $1,400,001.01 after its renovation by brothers, Mike and Andrew Jones.

The weekend bidding kicked off at $1.6 million with the four bedroom terrace on the market at $1.72 million.

With its preference now for Melbourne, The Block offerings are increasingly omnipresent with the South Yarra apartment renovated by Kingi and Caro in the hit renovation show lastyear, set to be raffled off as part of Mater Prize Homes prize draw.

The stressful renovation show is rumoured to return to air soon with a Port Melbourne warehouse makeover of the former Velvet soap factory administration office of J Kitchen & Co.
