The Block Sky High hits highest ratings

The Channel 9 renovation stress series, The Block Sky High, which is the seventh season, topped Sunday night's television ratings with 1,612,000 viewers.

It beat the news and current affairs offerings, and A Place to Call Home, the next highest non-news program, which had 1.22 million viewers. Network Ten's MasterChef debut secured 1.10 million viewers in eighth place.

Its understood to be the highest ratings the show has received since it’s May 12 premiere, according to OzTAM five city metropolitan report.

The biggest audience - with 577,000 viewers - came from Melbourne last night with 449,000 in Sydney.

The show’s May debut was 4th for the night with a 1,312,000 audience.

The first room reveal ranked 3rd with a 1,524,000 audience and the second room reveal sat in 2nd place in the raings with 1,476,000.

The Block Sky High has five constestant couples each renovating a whole floor of a former South Melbourne hotel into a single apartment.

Channel 7's competing series House Rules airs its whole house reveal tonight for the Preston contestants.
