Queensland’s Suna Island, a sub-tropical island located in the in the Great Sandy Strait, has been listed at $289,000.

Set between the Dimonds, North Maaroom, and Fraser islands, it is accessible by both boat and land.

The 20 freehold acre island property is zoned for rural residential use, with approval a secluded beachfront island home.

Real estate agent Chris Couper said there had been huge interest in the property to date. 

Couper said the current owner is a former builder and is only selling due to his age.

The island has appeared on the market a number of times throughout the years having last sold for $170,000 in 2011.

It sold at $160,000 in 1988 and $50,000 in 1994.
