Studio Magazine's Marcello Grand sells in Darling Point

Veteran magazine publisher Marcello Grand has sold his recently renovated Darling Point penthouse for $3,525,000.

The two storey apartment came with a price guide of $3.5 million through Richard & Wrench selling agent James Dunn.

Comprising three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the 138 sq m apartment sits atop the 1930s Art Deco building.

Grand bought the unit in 2012 for $1.4 million from former Double Bay Art Gallery director Alan Winters. He is set to spend more time back home in Italy.

There was a $1.21 sale of a 95 sq m apartment on the ground floor earlier this year in the block of six. 

It was 1983 when his Studio Magazines company was established. His first magazine was Studio Collections was a womens' fashion magazine with the Black + White magazine its most known after launched in 1992 and published until 2007. 

Having studied at Turin University, Marcello had previously worked as an architect and advertising consultant.
