Strathfield trophy sale sets new suburb record

A Strathfield home sold for $6.825 million last month, setting a new sales record for the suburb. 

The three-storey property at 47 Newton Road has seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, six balconies, home office, basement wine cellar, gymnasium and home theatre.

Reminiscent of a holiday resort, the outside features a contemporary heated pool, waterfall, spa, outdoor terrace and championship size tennis court which are surrounded by Peter Fudge landscaped gardens. 

There's even a built-in aquarium.

Greg Emerton and Aaron Papadimatos at Devine Real Estate sold the home which sits on an elevated block of 1,416 sqm.

The median house price for Strathfield is $2,225,000 according to CoreLogic RP Data
