Sports commentator Bruce McAvaney sells Melbourne warehouse apartment
Sports broadcaster Bruce McAvaney and wife Annie Johnson have sold their Fitzroy warehouse apartment for $1,376,000.
The apartment spans the top two levels of the converted MacRoberton's chocolate factory.
It sold to a young buyer from Collingwood, according to the Herald Sun.
There were three offers on the apartment that had a $1.35 million asking price.
The Rose Street apartment cost $1.1 million in 2015 and the couple renovated the bathroom, updated the kitchen and two bedrooms and installed an eco-friendly fireplace.
The couple are based in Adelaide.
But they now planned to “eventually build a small place down on the Fleurieu Peninsula”, south of Adelaide, they told the Herald Sun.
“We love (the apartment) and are very sad to let it go. It would have been our home,” McAvaney said.
