The organisers of mega-music festival Splendour in the Grass have sold their historic Byron Bay home. The price remains undisclosed.

Jessica Ducrou and Dain Thomas had been looking for $3.5 million for their 109-year-old farmhouse since October last year.

The couple renovated the property, named Killarney, with their home styling. It featured in the December 2012 issue of Vogue Living.

The couple bought the five-bedroom Queenslander in 2010 for $2.65 million. Prior to this it traded for $1,595,000 in 2005.

The two-level Byron Bay property features a large veranda, five bathrooms a formal lounge room with an open fireplace. The open-plan kitchen and dining area overlooks the entertaining deck, gardens and swimming pool.

The saltwater pool sits next to a large cabana with a barbecue.

Marketing for the property indicated it’s a few minutes’ walk from Tallows Beach and 10 minutes from Byron Bay centre.

The property has expired development approval for a guest cottage at the back of the garden and current approval to operate as a bed and breakfast.

Ducrou founded Splendour in the Grass in 2001 after co-founding Homebake in 1996.
