Southern Highlands winery Banjo's Run listed
Banjo’s Run, the boutique winery at Exeter in the Southern Highlands, has been listed by Bill and Robyn Hall.
The couple have been their since 2009 following Bill's retirement after 40 years in real estate in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
They bought and rejuvenated an old vineyard then putting out their own wine label.
Banjo’s Run, which recently featured in the Gourmet Traveller magazine, has been listed by Deborah Cullen and Richard Sholl of Colliers Lifestyle Estates with offers due by September 30.
The vineyard comes with Bordeaux style, biodynamic cool climate wines from the 100 acre Sallys Corner Road property.
“I had a rural upbringing and I wanted to reconnect with that feeling of living in the relaxed countryside but still close enough to the city and the local town” he said.
The vineyard is leased out so there is little work for Bill and his family.
“In the last 18 months we’ve leased the vineyard out and they do all the work - we get to simply sit back and enjoy the fruits of their labour,” he says, with a grin.
As part of the lease agreement, he receives 64 cases of wine annually.
“This property is ideal for someone who would like to come down for the weekend but also receive an income stream/ and/or some pretty amazing wine” he said.
Income is also possible from its three bed and breakfast modules.
The property’s dam contains substantial numbers of trout.
