Singer and dancer Rhys Bobridge, known professionally as Rhys, has bought a home in Botany.

The Adelaide-born burlesque performer, who finished runner up on Network 10's inaugural season of So You Think You Can Dance Australia in 2008, has spent $2.1 million on a renovated 1950s home.

Offering direct access to Sir Joseph Banks Park, the home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a split level entertainment deck.

NG Farah Kingsford agent Joe Recep sold the home in just 18 days.

Rhys has been performing his hit show Boylesque across Sydney night club venues.

His cover version of the dance track Hot Summer, used on station promotions for Network Ten, reached number 39 on the ARIA Top 50 Singles Chart.
