Sigma healthcare non-executive director David Bayes and his wife Susan are selling Mulcahy, their Trentham weekend getaway.

The historic home, in the Hepburn Shire 95 kilometres north of Melbourne, was once a regional depot of a State Government Conservation Department. It cost the couple $600,000 in 2007.

Three buildings were retained from the original departmental use days.

They restored the four bedroom timber homestead on 1.4 hectares, set in established gardens, but don't get to the property enough anymore.

Pat Rice & Hawkins agents Matt Childs and Peter Balharrie are expecting offers in excess of $1.4 million.
