Rural NSW farm Kenda Park sells for $7.1 million under the hammer

A Glanmire, NSW, has sold for $7.1 million – a significant amount over reserve, according to its selling agency.

The sale of 4985 Great Western Highway, known as Kenda Park, was Ray White’s biggest under the hammer last week.

Kenda Park includes three houses, excellent equestrian facilities and extensive farming infrastructure.

Ray White Emms Mooney rural sales specialist Peter Crampton said the 404.5 hectare property is a high-profile asset located 8 kilometres from Bathurst.

Mooney said the property is approximately 95 per cent arable, the property is suitable for lucerne or other fodder crop production, livestock fattening, breeding, and as a farm stay or B&B-style accommodation.

“For a block that size being so close to town to be available really is rare and it came down to two parties that really wanted the property,” Crampton said.

“There was strong enquiry throughout the campaign. We had in order of 40 email enquiries and about the same number of telephone enquiries resulting in 20 inspections of the property.”

Kenda Park was purchased by a husband and wife who had been living in the local area for years.

“Bathurst is really popular with local and Sydney buyers, and being just over the mountains, it’s perfectly placed for city and tranquility,” Crampton said.

“We’ve also had some good recent summer rain so the property was looking great and presented well with good feed on it.”

Crampton said top Ray White Rural agent Sam D’Arcy represented the buyers.
