Roos coach Brad Scott's former Hawthorne, Brisbane home fails to sell
The former Brisbane Lions player and now North Melbourne coach Brad Scott may have orchestrated an upset win over Geelong on Friday night, but couldn't secure a sale when his former Hawthorne, Brisbane home went to weekend auction.
The 1925 Hawthorne home is a renovated four-bedroom Queenslander on Barton Road which was marketed through Harcourts Inner East agent Conrad Leisemann.
It now comes with $1.8 million plus price guidance.
Brad Scott was not alone on the weekend, as RP Data noted Brisbane had a preliminary clearance rate of 49%, up from 44% in the prior week. APM had it at 57% from 97 offerings, up from 46%, with the highest sale at $2.4 million when the five bedroom 320 Hellawell Road, Sunnybank Hills sold through RW Moorooka.
The home, on a 810 square metre block, with a swimming pool, was marketed as being located in one of Brisbane's premier suburbs.
The Queenslander has integrated indoor and outdoor living space spread over two levels since its 2005 renovation. It has 254 square metres space.
It was last available for rent at $1050 a week in April last year, having first been available in 2006 at $1300 a week.
Scott paid $570,000 in 2002. There have been four sales since August last year between $1,208,000 to $1,425,000 on the street, plus a $5.1 million riverfront sale.
Last year he paid about $2,175,000 for his house in the Melbourne suburb of Malvern.
