A Robin Boyd house with no heritage protection sold after its weekend auction for $1.5 million to lovers of Boyd architecture.

The Blott House at 7 Allambi Road in Chirnside Park, sits on 1965 square metres, so had interest from developers despite its significance.

The Blott House sold through Jellis Craig.

The 1956 home was given three vendor bids between $1.2 million and $1.35 million as interested buyers kept their hands in their pockets.

It sold to a couple from the outer east who plan to maintain the property.
