A Toorak riverfront home has been sold just two and a half weeks after hitting the market, for a figure close to its asking price.

Marshall White Armadale selling agent Justin Long secured the sale of 106 St Georges Road at an undisclosed, but it’s understood to be in the vicinity of $9.5 million.

A family bought the five- to six-bedroom house, which boasts its own private jetty at the foot of the 1750 sqm block.

It is one of just 22 or 23 Toorak homes to border the Yarra River, according to Long.

The house was designed to offer river views from its two levels, with each room opening to north-facing balconies, overlooking lush gardens and a riverside pool.

CoreLogic records show the property’s last sale before this was in 2015 for $7.5 million.
