Richmond was the most active suburb for weekend auctions.

double-fronted Victorian cottage on Queen Street, Richmond (pictured above) fetched $2.08 million, the dearest result.

It had $1.9 million to $2.09 million price hopes.

The cul de sac home featured polished floors.

There was a contemporary kitchen with Corian surfaces and NEFF appliances.

It came with hydronic heating, 1 kilowatt solar system, solar hot water and a 4800 litre rain water tank.

It last sold at $981,000 in 2006.

Richmond's next priciest result was the 1855 home, Dennington, at 139 Hoddle Street which fetched $1,975,000 at mid-week private auction.
