Fishing guru Rex Hunt has snappily sold his Quay Grand apartment on Macquarie Street for $2.05 million.

It was back in 1999 when Hunt paid $690,000 to buy into the Mirvac developed complex.

Hunt has had a career in many different pursuits.

He was a police officer in Victoria while playing in the forward line for the Richmond VFL team. He became a radio football commentator, known for his habit of making up quirky nicknames for players.

However, he is probably most famous around the world for his fishing programs.

Ettiene West at Morton Sydney secured the off market sale of the 75 sqm one bedroom.
