The Ray White Group has appointed for Head of Digital Matt Gay as Chief Technology Officer.

Ray White Group director Dan White said the new role recognised Mr Gay's great contribution to the group over the past two years as Head of Digital.

"Matt will be responsible for bringing all software development into a single technology team that works together on both new product delivery and supporting and enhancing our traditional IT systems," he said.

"His responsibility will include the development of data insights and products to enhance the performance of our members in the field.

"Matt will lead some fantastic people and teams across a range of locations and specific skill sets. This includes a digital team led by Liam O’Boyle, a software development team led by Andrew Nelson, and a data insights capability led by Jordan Tormey.

"Nathan Kennedy will continue to be responsible for our critical Project Management office capability.

"Ben Cowie will continue to lead Ray White's Infrastructure and Operations team, which in layman’s terms is responsible for it's IT hardware and network/corporate office support.

"Simon Horn will continue to take responsibility for the key area of data security.

While Ben and Simon will not formally be part of Matt’s team, they will work very closely together especially in the areas of overlap.

"Ben and Simon’s teams will continue to support Ray White, Loan Market and other White family businesses.

"Jason Alford will continue to lead our fantastic OneSystem team and Digital BDEs as National Technology Manager.

"To assist the White family and Matt with our future IT strategy and direction, we have also asked Eric Plumpton (CIO, Loan Market) to take on a broader role at a White Family Group level.

"We believe that it will enhance our ability to determine and then execute on our key technology priorities, regardless of whether it is digital or traditional, internal or external facing, hygiene or cutting edge products etc.

"We will develop and/or integrate these products with the help of our team based in multiple locations in order to retain and attract the best talent."
