Rag trader Ray Pillion has listed his lavish Darling Point penthouse in the Washingtonia building.

The four bedroom, four bathroom home is one of only two villas in the prestigious boutique block that was built six years ago.

Architecturally designed by Jahn and Associates, the two storey home offers an expansive 550 sqm.

There are a number of outdoor entertaining areas, one with a swimming pool, the other overlooking the harbour.

There's no price guidance but it was listed last year with $8.5 million hopes.

D'Leanne Lewis at Laing + Simmons Double Bay and Michael Pallier at Sydney Sotheby's have the listing.

Pillion had paid $6.5 million for the home in 2010.
