THERE’S a new queen of the mountain after radiologist Ken Neale and wife Helen sold Doyne Hill House, their long-time Mount Panorama residence.

The retired Bathurst tourism operator Ramona Katter emerged as its $2.5 million buyer last month.

The Conrad Straight property comes with a five-bedroom home designed by William Zuccon, of Dods + Zuccon, which was completed around 12 years ago.

The home’s atrium comes with grand vaulted ceilings that have timber beams rescued from an old Arnott’s Biscuit ­factory. The gardens have rambling floral walks, secret nooks and a lily-filled pond.

Bathurst local agent Peter Rogers and David Newgrosh Real Estate marketed the listing as a traditional country house.
