Radio host Kyle Sandilands buys in Southern Highlands
Radio host Kyle Sandilands has settled on a Southern Highlands home.
He's bought Twin Creeks Farm, aka Taballa, an 1890s Federation style farmhouse on 61 hectares in Robertson which he will share with partner Imogen Anthony, who grew up near the area.
The residence has been partially renovated and remodelled since it last traded for $2.31 million in 2007. It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a guest house with a self-contained bedsit.
An orchard has apples and citrus trees, as well as blackberries, blueberries and strawberries.
There are stone lined creek beds with mini waterfalls which result in a large pond with goldfish and platypus.
It cost Sandilands $2,982,500. Sandilands recently said on the air that he earned over $3 million a year, just from the radio.
The property lends itself to farming interests, coming complete with 16 fenced paddocks which will host up to 150 head of cattle.
There's a four bay garage with machinery shed, a large hay storage facility and a cattle crush.
The listing through R J Mackey Real Estate said the property could lend itself to either a farmstay, wedding venue or bed and breakfast.
Judging by Sandilands' partner Imogen Anthony however, it looks like it will be a place for the couple to raise their future children.
Accompanying her post outside the property (above), she wrote...
“Last week was a big week for us as we finally got the keys to our first dream property together down on the Southern Highlands,” she wrote online.
“We are now the proud owners of over 150 acres of prime land for our animals future animals and potential little human animals."
It was bought from Ben and Krisane Bunda.
