Queenscliff trophy home sells for $12 million
One of Queenscliff's finest trophy homes has been snappily sold for $12 million. The northern beaches offering came with record breaking hopes through Jake Rowe Partners agents Jake Rowe and Nathan Tse.
They had an $11 million to $12 million price guide for its now unnecessary September 1 auction.
Renovated since last traded for $3.8 million in 2008, the tri-level home on its 805 sqm Pavilion Street block has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and two home offices.
The lounge with gas log fireplaces, and the glass framed dining and living rooms flow to seaside terraces featuring a fire-pit and heated plunge pool.
The listing comes off the back big sales in the Queenscliff prestige market.
Earlier this year another Pavilion Street home, a one bedder on the clifftop, sold for $5.55 million, marketed as the last underdeveloped block on the headland.
The $12 million was secured just four days into its marketing by the dentist David Eyles and his wife Patricia.
It was bought by a buyer from the upper north shore.
There had been 21 groups at its only open inspection last Saturday.
Late last year the Queenscliff residential price record was set when fund manager Andrew Formica spent $10 million on a Crown Road home with direct access to Freshwater Beach.
He snapped the four bedroom property up in just 15 days, in doing so toppling the previous $5 million record set in 2016.
