Brisbane developer Pikos Group is backing up its recently launched Skye Residences in Kangaroo Point with another project in the affluent suburb.

They've been given the green light by the Brisbane City Council for Gaia, two 15-level buildings at 108 Lambert Street which will home 215 apartments as well as creating a full acre of inner-city parklands in the process.

Pikos Group founder and Executive Director Pedro Pikos said the vision for Gaia has been a decade in the making and follows the amalgamation of eight individual lots to create 5,284 sqm of pure river frontage.

“The opportunity to amalgamate such a large riverfront site at Kangaroo Point is unrepeatable,” Pikos said.

“Gaia will transform this rare waterfront site into an inner-city sanctuary that embraces its incredible  connectivity to the river and the city, delivering two residential towers and the city’s largest private parkland along a secluded pocket of the Brisbane River.”

Designed by DKO Architecture, Gaia is the second project in Pikos Group’s luxury riverfront property portfolio and follows Skye by Pikos, currently under construction at River Terrace, Kangaroo Point

Pikos Group Chief Executive Officer Michelle Wooldridge said Gaia has been designed as a luxurious urban retreat designed to merge city living with riverside tranquillity.

“The name Gaia means ‘connected to earth,’ which perfectly encapsulates our vision for the site as a holistic residential and wellness precinct grounded in nature,” Wooldridge said.

“In revisiting the design to enhance its buildability, we uncovered the opportunity to open view corridors and create expansive green spaces.

“In doing so, we’ve created Brisbane’s largest private parkland community, with just shy of one acre of riverfront gardens and green spaces providing extensive amenity and connection to nature to all residents.

“The site itself is incredibly tranquil and embraces this quiet pocket of the river while enjoying excellent connectivity to the city. This will only improve once the city’s green bridges are complete.”

Wooldridge said both residential towers at Gaia have been oriented to capture sweeping views of the city and river, with all apartments featuring luxury internal finishes of natural stone, timber flooring and premium appliances.

Residents will have access to wellness amenities including a riverside pool and pool terrace, with hot and cold plunge pools, set amongst the landscaped gardens, as well as an indoor/outdoor gym, BBQ and outdoor dining, rooftop dining and garden workshop, yoga lawn and outdoor cinema, private dining room, and work-from-home lounge.

The River Tower includes a mix of three and four-bedroom apartments, some with a multi-purpose room, while the City Tower will have two and three-bedroom apartments with an additional multi-purpose room.
