Sales are underway at one of Southport's newest apartment developments, The Waverley Residences.

Located in the heart of Southport's CBD at 15 Waverley Street, the $30 million Rothelowman-designed tower, developed by the Sydney-based Busikon, will have 60 apartments across its eight levels when it is completed in May 2022. Construction by Descon Australia has already begun.

There will be 60 apartments in total, comprising 14 one-bedroom apartments, 32 two-beds and 14 three-bedroom apartments.

Prices start from $345,000 for the one-bedroom apartments, $500,000 for the two-bedroom apartments and $680,000 for the three-bedrooms.

Savill’s Gold Coast Director of Residential Projects David Lennard said the apartments give the chance for a first home buyer to get on the ladder in the booming area.

He said the development was genuinely one of the best projects he's worked on.

“The Waverley Residences ticks all the boxes that the discerning buyer looks for in a sophisticated home, with floor plans designed for optimum liveability, a sprawling rooftop retreat fit for entertaining and rejuvenating, and an aesthetical appeal that flows from its striking exterior to its light filled interiors," Lennard says.

“We understood that the idealistic coastal lifestyle is a huge driving force behind the growing demand for residences on the Coast, so we sought to create a range of homes that embodied the essence of sub-tropical living.”

Lennard added that the suburb of Southport had long been overlooked for its supreme positioning at the core of the Gold Coast business precinct.

“We have a huge amount of faith in Southport as one of the most underrated locations on the coast, given its proximity to picturesque waterways and beachfronts, while being immersed in a lifestyle hub of dining, retail and education as the city’s undisputed CBD,” Lennard said.

The apartments in Waverley Residences, created by award-winning architect firm Rothelowman, have been designed to take advantage of the coastal location, with a unique kitchen layout servicing both the interior dining area and alfresco dining on the balcony.

Crowning the building will be a rooftop terrace complete with a gym, outdoor lounges, dedicated BBQ areas and a private dining space with views to the Gold Coast skyline and beachfront.
