Cube to start building luxury Cotton Tree, Maroochydore apartment development, Nature
The Sunshine Coast developer, Cube Developments, has appointed National Construction Management to start building their luxury Maroochydore apartment development, Nature.
It will be NCM's third Cube build, following the now complete Curve Birtinya and the currently under construction Picasso apartment development in Mooloolaba.
Nature, located in the small waterfront suburb of Cotton Tree, was originally pinned for 13 opulent residences set over eight-storeys, but has dropped to 12 following a ‘mega apartment’ amalgamation.
To date, Nature by Cube has sold close to $39 million worth of apartments off-the-plan with all but one snapped up, including the sale of the enormous $7 million penthouse; a record price for the developer’s portfolio.
Designed by Cottee Parker, Nature boasts a host resort-style amenities, including a 25-meter lap pool, gym, steam room and spa, yoga lawn, gardens, greenspaces and sun lounging areas - all programmed into a ground floor activity space.
Cube Development’s Director Scott Juniper said it was a significant milestone to be starting construction, following the project’s DA approval in July and the near sell-out success.
“Nature will be home to some of the most luxurious apartments the Sunshine Coast has seen and we believe NCM has the capabilities and track record to deliver on this, including the bespoke nature of these apartments following amalgamations and customisations.”
Director at Cottee Parker, Sandra Browne, said the quality of architecture far exceeds what is offered in the surrounding market.
“We wanted to deliver a product that stood out amongst the crowd in terms of amenity, as well as being of a higher architectural spec and with an unrivalled, premium aesthetic.
“The materiality of the building and the expansiveness of the open glass facade and viewing speaks to a quality of architecture that exceeds what is offered in the surrounding market,” she said.
Construction on Nature by Cube is due to commence in the coming weeks and is scheduled to be complete by 2023.
One apartment remains for sale, priced from $3.5 million.
