Politician Jann Stuckey is trading up in her Gold Coast electorate of Currumbin, where she has been based for over three decades.

Stuckey has listed in Currumbin Waters which has been home with husband Richard since 1987 when they moved from Adelaide paying $223,000.

Coast Creek and Country Realty agents Nils Turner and Renee Pannekoek have set a May 26 auction.

The couple aren't moving far.

They're off towards the water, having settled on a $3.1 million near beachfront home at Bilinga.

Stuckey was elected in 2004.

The marketing describes the home as a 'rural oasis'.

Set on 5,785 square metres, the main home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a media room.

A tennis court and swimming pool sit on the parcel, as does a separate self-contained two bedroom residence.
