Located by the beach, the single-level, four-bedroom cottage at 19 Tourmaline Avenue, Pearl Beach is a contemporary family weekender.

Built from scratch, the cladded beach cottage was designed by architect Murray Thomas and his wife, interior designer, Anna who bought the block in 2012 for $660,000.

The house features a bright burnt orange front exterior, an open floorplan and a large grassed courtyard.

Blue gum timber was used for flooring throughout the house which also features a stone-filled reflection pool and rammed earth walls.

This is the Thomas’s second Pearl Beach project following the Pearl Beach Drive weekender they purchased for $840,000 in 2006 and sold to Blackmores chief Christine Holgate for $2.3 million.

The 670 square metre, four-bedroom, three-bathroom property has been listed by Stuart Gan and Emily Bruhwiller at PRDnationwide Ettalong who have $2.2 million plus hopes.

The median house price in Pearl Beach is $830,000 according to CoreLogic RP Data.
